Perplexity rolled out an updated conversational voice mode on 28 October 2026 for all Perplexity Pro and Max subscribers across its web interface and macOS application. Powered by OpenAI’s gpt-live-1 speech model, the update lets subscribers work across multiple Perplexity Computer sessions simultaneously, launch new tasks, and create or manage Projects inside a single continuous voice session.
