Anthropic raised the maximum request size for the Messages and Token Counting endpoints on the Claude API to 128 MB, four times the previous 32 MB ceiling. The larger payload cap stops high-resolution computer-use screenshot histories and multi-document PDF requests from hitting HTTP request-size errors well before exhausting Claude’s token context window.
